Lucky Man - Audiobook Review

April is Parkinson's Disease Awareness Month. One of the best ways you can observe it is to listen to Michael J. Fox's audiobook, Lucky Man. I ran across one of the best reviews I've read about this title and after you read this, hope you'll give a listen. This is a powerful audiobook! No matter whether or not you agree with Fox's politics, listen to this book!

Lucky Man, by Michael J. Fox, read by the author. Abridged (5 hrs. 30 min) Simon & Schuster Audio, 2002. Read Review

Narrator Interview - Jonathan Davis

An informative interview of Johathan Davis. The interview is conducted by A.J. Hartley, the author of the audio titles under discussion. This gives the interview a unique twist. Be sure and read the comments as well - especially the one asking the author how he felt when he heard his book being read. Interesting stuff! Check it out on the blog, Magical Words.

Other Kingdoms - Recently Received from Blackstone Audio

For over half a century, Richard Matheson has enthralled and terrified readers with such timeless classics as I Am Legend, Somewhere in Time, and What Dreams May Come. Now the grand master returns with a bewitching tale of erotic suspense and enchantment.

The year is 1918. Alex White, a young American soldier recently wounded in the Great War, comes to Gatford to escape his troubled past. The pastoral English village seems the perfect spot to heal his wounded body and soul, but the neighboring woods are said to be haunted by capricious, even malevolent, spirits. He is warned to steer clear of the woods, and the perilous faerie kingdom it borders, but Alex cannot help himself. Drawn to its verdant mysteries, he finds love, danger, and wonders that will forever change his view of the world. Other Kingdoms casts a magical spell, as conjured by a truly legendary storyteller.

Brain Wave - Recently Received from Blackstone Audio

For millions of years, the part of the galaxy containing our solar system has been moving through a vast force field that has been inhibiting certain electromagnetic and electrochemical processes and, thus, certain neurotic functions. When Earth escapes the inhibiting field, synapse speed immediately increases, causing a rise in intelligence, which results in a transfigured humanity reaching for the stars, leaving behind our earth to the less intelligent humans and animal life-forms. This is a transcendent look at the possible effects of enhanced intelligence on our planet.

Why You Should Give Audiobooks A Try

I always enjoy posts that talk about how much someone enjoys audiobooks. I guess because I like them so much, it's always good to hear from others who feel the same way. Mustapha, a Lebanese blogger, shares his enthusiasm for audiobooks in this post. I heartily agree with him! You can check out Mustapha's blog at Beruitspring.com.
